About Me

I currently work as a psychotherapist in Bangalore, specializing in behavioural and emotional talk therapy involving individuals, couples and families. I am a graduate of Purdue University, USA with a Master of Science degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. In addition, I also have a Master of Science degree in the field of Psychological Counseling from Bangalore University, India. I approach my clinical work collaborating between systemic theories such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trans-generational Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment Focused Family Therapy; and counseling techniques such as CBT and Person Centered Therapy. I am also trained in sex therapy, play therapy & trauma therapy techniques. I have worked in a variety of settings and have experience in dealing with a range of issues such as: relationship problems, parenting issues, stress and coping, addiction, substance abuse, trauma, clinical issues: depression, bipolar and personality disorders, clinical diagnosis, and anger management.  

 

In my free time, I enjoy reading the occasional fiction novels, travelling to sandy beaches while juggling between my family and my soul mate - my dalmatian Kumite.
